Okay, time for a lesson in logic. So, LolliShops.com has made the switch from a stand-alone marketplace hosting its own PayPal shopping cart, to being a juried, niche, referral service. Some vendors might have a hard time understanding *why* such a referral service would be beneficial to their business. Let me explain:
LolliShops.com *always* has a beautiful home page with Cottage Style favorites proudly showcased...
There are other referral websites out there too. For instance, one of the most popular websites showcasing Etsy favorites has been featured in national magazines, it's called
"Regretsy"the tag line reads...
"Handmade? It looks like you made it with your feet."
Each day, Regretsy.com showcases the weird, the cheap and the illegal listings they find on Etsy so that everyone can laugh and make fun of it. I admit, it is entertaining.
Here's one they featured this morning...
the sad part about this is that something nasty like that fly painting has gotten 1,698 views and 26 hearts because of the feature. Often times, the funky item even SELLS because of the feature while
something like this....
has 428 views and 13 hearts and is probably listed in the same category as the fly painting. So LolliShops.com is going to set out to be a Cottage Style Lighthouse in an ocean of variety. We will highlight the beautiful, the timeless, the Vintage Inspired and most importantly: The TALENTED!
We will continue to take out ads in National magazines and promote Cottage Style for shoppers that have a hard time wading through the *other* stuff.

Can I just tell you how much I adore feedsack fabric? It has to be the real deal though. The reproduction fabrics are nice, don't get me wrong but there is something so special about the old, dingy, time worn look of real feedsack fabric prints.
The blue arrow indicates where you put the address for where your item is located for sale on the web. If it's Etsy, it looks like this when you click on the item:
If you don't sell at Etsy and you have your own website like Rose Petals and Rust, the address will look different when you click on the individual item you are looking for:
